Weeding the entire parameter of the Recovery Café building and parking lot, removing 4 feet of ivy off the top of a 16 foot wall, trimming the trees, bushes and decorative grasses that are a part of our landscaping, and spreading 15 yards of wood chips in one day may seem like a tall order, but for the intrepid people who volunteer at Recovery Cafe, this gigantic project was no problem.
We are immensely grateful to the Japanese Presbyterian Church community where so many of the day’s volunteers came from as well as the others who showed up to keep our space (both inside and out) beautiful, clean and welcoming.
