We are always grateful for our partnerships with so many in our region. This makes possible our healing work. With your help we can significantly strengthen Recovery Café’s long-term financial position as well as equip us to serve more people.
The Mental Illness and Drug Dependency (MIDD) Tax Levy will be up for renewal by the King County Council in November. King County is in the process of determining what budget recommendations they will make for this vital piece of legislation. Recovery Café has been designated in the “Reentry and Recovery” strategy area to receive funding.
Please go to the MIDD website and offer your support for Recovery Café being included in the MIDD by this Friday, May 6. There is $180 million worth of requests for $60 million of funding. Strong support of Recovery Café’s inclusion in the MIDD is a critical part of our strategy to ensure that Recovery Café can continue to be a place of hope, healing and life transformation for thousands of people into the future.
